(English) Shiga Gokoku Shrine
(English) Shiga Gokoku Shrine enshrined the spirits of the war dead of Shiga Prefecture from the 19th century Boshin War, the Satsuma Rebellion, the first Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War, and the Pacific War, and is now visited by many coming to pray for world peace.
The shrine is a seven minute walk from Hikone Station.
