Saimyo-ji Temple: The Temple of Good Health
Saimyo-ji Temple is one of Hikone's three "Koto San-zan (Three Peaks)" Tendai Buddhist temples. In 2015, Saimyo-ji was featured by America's CNN in an online feature entitled "Japan's 31 Most Beautiful Places," in which it stood alongside Hiroshima's Itsukushima Shrine and Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji Temple.
